Oh my gosh, i never knew… Ha ha! I just learned about it today! And i’ve been listening to their music for around 3 years now!
Gosh….. really…. *rolls eyes*
How did i find out? i watched some of their music videos in youtube… Then i said, hey that guy looks Pinoy… and then i wikied them and BAM! He IS Pinoy!
ARGH! Now i am so regretting not seeing their 2006 concert here! Haaaaaay…. Oh well sana may kasama ako next time… i just loooove Switchfoot music. ^_^
Crap. And they tell me not to bother with maids or people like them. Why? because they tell me i am not at the same level with them. i am educated and they aren’t that’s why they only get jobs like that.
I mean what kind of thinking is that right? Elitist? Bourgeoisie? I don’t think that way. I think that all people are the same regardless of education or status in life. But that is not the case. It really is not the case. I would like to think that i am a very fair person that’s why i think we’re all the same. I do not tread on other people nor do i allow myself to be tread upon (unless there are unavoidable circumstances, see i’m even considerate?!) but still… i am not one to look down on other people just because they are only maids or are only blue collar workers.
But recently i overheard the person who does my laundry talking with someone, i don’t know if it was a neighbor or someone else, that i wasn’t paying her enough for the laundry work she does. i hate that she didn’t tell me what her problem was instead of talking about it with someone else.
To cut the story short i was told by my landlord and friend to not stoop to their level. I am an educated person while she isn’t. No matter what i do there will always be people like her even if i treat everyone as equals it’s not how the world is. It’s just sad really. Now i know why i get easily annoyed and disappointed in other people, it’s because i treat them as equals. Ah this is indeed how life is.
And so the word for the day is condescending. Condescending means displaying a patronizingly superior attitude. It does sound bad but hey i think i need this even just a little bit…

Wahaha… grabe na ito… Siguro kase magaling yung pari kaya biglang na-miss ko magsimba… tama ba yung maisip ko bigla na 10 years na pala since my last confession? hanep… hayskul retreat pa yun… I think it’s time to confess my sins na… tsktsk… ibig sabihin 10 years na din akong hindi nagkokomunyon? (Pero may daya ako, nagkomunyon yata ako dati ng ilang beses… haha…) Kase bawal magkomunyon unless nagkukumpisal ka ang alam ko eh…
Oh well… So eniwei sabi sa parish something sa baba ng St. Joseph (sa may Anonas ha)… every 5pm or 8am weekdays daw ang confession… hm… tamang-tama malapit na din bertday ko…. hahaha… Basta may ilaw yung ‘confession going on’ yata na nakasulat, ibig sabihin may pari dun… basta ganun daw.
AT! may bago akong natutunang word ngayon!
Okay kids ang bagong salita para sa araw na ito ay Pasinayaan…Oha! Pasinayaan means Initiation. Paano ko nalaman yun? Kase yung pari (i didn’t get the name) nag-ala catechism class or retreat chuvaness sya kanina… hahaha… Magaling din naman yung pari at hindi boring… sana lahat ng pari marunong magsermon gaya niya…
Eniwei dahil nakinig akong mabuti sa misa kanina… ang kahalagahan ng binyag sa ating mga Katoliko ay nasa acronym na RICE (binyag ni Kristo yung gospel kanina).
Ang R ay Rebirth, I ay Initiation, C ay Consecration at E ay Empowerment. Hindi ko na ididiscuss siyempre mahaba yun at hindi naman ako nagtuturo ng catechism (Hindi halatang galing ako ng Catholic School ano? ). Siyempre Tagalog yung misa. I like going to mass na Tagalog, sawa na ako sa English dahil puro English at Ilocano nung hayskul (kaya karamihan ng dasal at mga reply sa misa na alam ko ay English… shucks).
So anyway tingnan natin ang mga tenses…
Present tense: Initiation = Pasinayaan
Past tense: Initiated = Pinasinayaan
Present tense(?): being Initiated = Pinapasinayaan
kalokah di ba?! New word talaga for me. Well siguro naririnig ko na dati pero hindi ko alam ang meaning… wahaha…
So eniwei… yung mga kelangan na magkumpisal jan…. nandun sa taas yung schedule ha… sa St Joseph lang ang alam ko e.

Well let’s see, my long Holiday break wasn’t all that great… i spent my days in Ilocos cleaning the house. Tsk. Then i got colds so i stopped cleaning! Argh, haven’t finished cleaning all those stuff that needs to be cleaned… Oh well…
So anyway now i’m preoccupied with having my desk calendars printed… haha… I’ll be selling 2009 Twilight Desk Calendars next week! Woohooo!
